I finally managed to see Match Point, and I have to say I really liked it - Scarlett was amazing as usual! She had less screentime than I expected, but the time she could be seen she lighted up the screen. Her role has a lot of facettes and she definitely managed to show them all. Unfortunately the German dubbings were pretty much awful, and this took away quite a lot from me. I guess I really have to see it again in English. Oh, and I really really liked Emily Mortimer’s performance as well. :)

On to the news. ;) Scarlett was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Match Point at the Chicago Film Critics Awards which have been announced on Dec 31 and the award show will be held on Jan 9. Scarlett is up against Amy Adams, Maria Bello, Catherine Keener, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams.

Secondly, Scarlett was named the #2 Best Dressed by calgarysun.com for 2005: “That Woody Allen has declared her his new muse is not surprising. She’s beautiful, she has that raw, throaty voice and she dresses impeccably.
Sure, she has the occasional misstep every now and then. Who doesn’t? Like when her hair (white) matches her skin (soooo white).
That’s no good. But mostly, she dresses like a respectable starlet in classy gowns paired with cute shoes and makeup to die for.
But she better watch her back, because Canadian Rachel McAdams is just as pretty, poised and talented.
And Woody Allen is nothing, if not fickle. “

And lastly, Scarlett is featured on the cover of the current Portrait magazine which is an awesome online magazine, so check it out! We have also won “Site Of The Month” there, so thank you Kat!
