Scarlett Johansson has reached out to OK! to clear the air regarding tabloid reports that she has had plastic surgery on her nose:

US Weekly’s cover story regarding Scarlett Johansson and its clear implication that she has had plastic or cosmetic surgery on her nose is an outrageous and defamatory fabrication lacking any conceivable basis or proof, despite vehement denials by Ms. Johansson prior to publication,” reads a statement from her rep, exclusively to OK!. “Not surprisingly, US magazine cannot provide the dates when she supposedly had this surgery, who performed the surgery, or what was supposedly done — all because there simply is no truth to the story. The publication made a pathetic attempt to validate its story by using two cover photos of Scarlett that were taken years apart with obviously different make-up and lighting, and then relying on an “expert’s opinion” (based solely on looking at the two photos) on what “might” have been done. It wasn’t.”

And Scarlett herself has this to say to OK!:

“I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead. Thus, I feel compelled to take immediate legal action against US Weekly.”

her quote: “I definitely believe in plastic surgery,” she said last year. “I don’t want to be an old hag. There’s no fun in that”

no comment… :ouch:

i love you

Go Scarlett Go! And don’t change your nose ever it’s one of the reasons you’re so uniquely beautiful, yes it is, i love it

btw. She has no grounds to sue. The doctor from the US Weekly article is just speculating… speculation is a part of free speech. To prove libel or slander, must prove it was a statement said with knowledge that it was untrue.

Roman – the comment is actually very old, if I remember correctly, it is from 2003. I personally think/hope she was kidding there.

Roman, people change their minds – it’s been known to happen. Otherwise divorce rates would be at zero.

W r o n g.

They have profited at her expense and dignity, yes she may agree with plastic surgury in her later life but now, she’s in her pime physically – a few years imho.

The difficult task is how to calculate the damages and what gains
have the US News groups being sued profited from?

It’s long overdue that these vunerable people who dedicate
their lives towards the happiness and well being of the masses
were given more in the ammendments of privacy laws being
considered over here and over there.!!

Best Regards innocent people and the rest…

Happy Christmas.

Yeah Riikka, I hope she isn’t like that – I like her and I think she is intelligent person and the comment is just wrong I dunno – Like you said maybe Scarlett was young and she said that for fun. :yuck:

Anyway thank you Riikka for this site – it’s very well done.

Nose of Scarlett is “the most sex appealing part” of her unique divine beauty!!!

No one seems to be stating the obvious – her nose doesn’t look any different to muah. :dead:

People making opinions here about something they don’t know anything about is exactly what that magazine did with making incorrect statements about Scarlett. With Scarlett making a statement to say what that magazine that is mentioned here wrote about her was lies and with Scarlett threatening to sue that magazine for making up lies about her shows people that, that magazine has made up lies about her and that, that magazine can’t get away with making up lies about her. I think with Scarlett making that statement that other magazines will see that they won’t get away with making up lies about her which is a way that will stop magazine’s making up any lies about.

i hate those trashy mags, Scarlett is 100 percent natural and i love that about her, she is so perfect in her own way…she is just soooo amazingly beautiful!!they should have putt Angelina on the cover, she is the one that had a true nose job, ahe was the one that us to have a short fat nose, not scarlett!

Caroline.

That really is a riduculus claim by that magazine mentioned here

That really is a riduculus claim by that magazine about Scarlett, because not only were the photo in it taken years apart, but in the first photo of Scarlett shown there looked like it was taken when she was a child and the second photo looked like a recent photo of Scarlett.

Image is everything in Hollywood and perhaps SJ said that a while ago, but she wasn’t a ‘role model for young women’ until this year and even if it was a joke then, probably doesn’t apply now.
So back to what I said, Image is everything in Hollywood, Ahem tom cruise, seeing this on the cover of one of these magazines could turn off those of her fan base who like her because she’s not an anorexic stick figure like most of the chicks in Hollywood.
Losing fans would hurt SJ’s bank account and those of the studio’s and prodco’s who hire her and you know they won’t have that, simply because they’re greedy pieces of shit.
Anyhow, having that on the cover of the mag is defemation of character, i.e. the hurtful of her image thing, and she could proabably get away with harassment too.
