It looks like John Curran is no longer directoring Mary Queen of Scots. Instead, Phillip Noyce will take on the directing duties and the film is currently on course to start production in April in London and Scotland (yay!). Hopefully there will be no more delays. Here’s a reportage from Variety:

I am back from my break and ready to get back in the action. You can expect new scans within a few days and some big changes later on this week so be sure to stay tuned. I’ve added six lovely pictures of Scarlett taken by Hanna, a fan who met Scarlett in Iowa last week. Here’s what she had to say about the experience:
If any other fans had a chance to meet Scarlett in Iowa (or anywhere else, really), please do send in your photos and stories. I’m sure that I am speaking for all the fans when I say that we’d love to see - and hear - them! GALLERY LINKS: |

She’s a sexy Hollywood starlet. He’s an aging martial arts star. So what do Scarlett Johansson and Chuck Norris have in common? They both backed winners in Thursday’s Iowa caucuses. Yes, with a little help from their celebrity fans, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mike Huckabee emerged victorious in Iowa’s pivotal, first-in-the-nation caucuses. While Norris, 67, stumped for – and sparred with – Huckabee in mid-December, the 23-year-old Johansson was by Obama’s side in the home stretch, speaking to a small group of high school and college-aged “Barack Stars” at a rally in Coralville, Iowa, on Tuesday. “She actually seemed a little shy when she first started speaking,” audience member Jason Millsap told PEOPLE. “But [she] warmed up to the crowd, who were eager to ask questions… It was pretty exciting and inspiration to see someone as big as her come and talk to her peers.” |

Happy 2008! I am still away until next week but I had a quiet moment and made a quick update as there are some awesome new Johansson goodies to share with you all. Scarlett Johansson was the special guest at Barack Obama’s last big rally in Iowa last night. The Obama Campaign avoided publicizing her appearance or involving her in the official program, but she spoke at a separate, small gathering to rally young voters. Here’s more information of her appearance, courtesy of OANmedia.com:
I have added An amazing set of new The Other Boleyn Girl stills have surfaced online in HQ and I was able to load them up in the gallery with the help of Mycah and Sandra. Be sure to check these out as they’re really spectacular but please remember that the may contain possible spoilers regarding the movie. |
