Before heading off for a mini-break I thought I’d remind you that Scarlett’s new movie, The Other Boleyn Girl, opens in North America this Friday. Be sure to go out and see it - and don’t forget to post your thoughts on it and Scarlett’s performance here or at the forum! The reviews have been very mixed so I’d really love to hear the opinions of the fans. I have to wait until March 7 to see it myself. I will approve all comments and post news/pics again on Monday. :) |

Top Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson could be heading to West Lothian, Scotland to film her latest movie. Last year, it emerged the actress had been signed up to play Mary, Queen of Scots, the tragic monarch who was born at Linlithgow Palace. The movie’s production team are currently touring the UK looking for locations and West Lothian Council plans to get in touch to put their case. Provost Tom Kerr said: “This will be a major international production which could rival the success of Mel Gibson’s Braveheart. “We plan to make the production company aware of the importance of Linlithgow’s connection with Mary, Queen of Scots and to consider filming in our historic town.” |

David Bowie has spoken about his work on Scarlett Johansson’s debut album, a collection of covers of Tom Waits songs. The rock legend added backing vocals to two tracks on “Anywhere I Lay My Head” - ‘Falling Down’ and ‘Fannin’ Street’. Posting on his official site BowieNet, the singer said: “The songs are great, really good Tom Waits stuff, and Scarlett’s performances are mystical and twice cool. She creates a mood that could have been summoned by someone like Margery Latimer or Jeanette Winterson.” However, the veteran artist played down his contributions to the record, saying: “I’ve seen the press on this and I suppose the record company wanted to spin my involvement a little more than it actually warrants. All I contribute are these oo’s and ah’s on a couple of tracks. |

Luise sent in scans of the new issue of German Vanity Fair with Scarlett on the cover. While the cover shot is old, the pictures inside are new, taken at the Berlin Film Festival. Scarlett looks amazing! If anyone if able to translate the interview, please do get in touch. I’ve also added a couple of new stills from Boleyn Girl. Thanks to Sandra for some of them! Last but not least, I’d like to give a plugging to some of my friends’ new sites dedicated to Scarlett’s co-stars: Andy’s Javier Bardem fansite, Javier Bardem Online, on the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star and fresh Oscar winner (congrats to Javier!) and Filip’s Eric Bana fansite, Eric Bana Fan, dedicated to the king of Boleyn Girl. |

I have added the video and 340 screencaptures of Scarlett’s Regis & Kelly appearance, which aired earlier today. She chats about the Kuwait tour, which she describes as a life-changing experience, Woody Allen and, of course, The Other Boleyn Girl. I personally absolutely love Scarlett’s look and, as usual, she’s very well spoken and totally adorable here. GALLERY LINKS: VIDEO LINKS: |
