The Other Boleyn Girl came in at decent #4 at the US box office last weekend, earning around $8,300,000. Very well done!
Here’s a reportage from Variety:
Sony had a much better courtside seat with King Henry VIII historical romancer The Other Boleyn Girl, which grossed an estimated $8.3 million from 1,166 runs in its debut for a lusty per-screen average of $7,118, according to Rentrak. Pic came in No. 4.

3. Spiderwick Chronicles, $8.8 million.
4.The Other Boleyn Girl, $8.3 million
5. Jumper, $7.6 million.
6. Step Up 2 The Streets, $5.7 million.

I think because there was a lot of publicity about that film that it was bound to do well in the first week it was released but I think seeing how it does in the next couple of weeks will show how well it is seen by the public.
