Hollywood actress Scatlett Johansson has denied reports she is supporting presidential candidate Barack Obama because she has “a crush” on him. The 23-year-old star has long voiced her support for Obama in his race for the White House in the upcoming U.S. elections - but Johansson was recently accused of favouring the politician because of his good looks and not focusing on his policies. But a source tells the New York Daily News that the rumours are just not true: “She is a surrogate (Obama campaigner). They’re not exchanging love letters. Everyone seems to be forgetting that she’s engaged. “Kal Penn (actor and Obama supporter) is also a surrogate, and no one says he has a crush on Obama.” Johansson is currently engaged to Blade: Trinity actor Ryan Reynolds. Scarlett Johansson has regular e-mail contact with presidential hopeful Barack Obama, but it may be because her twin brother, Hunter, works for him. Johansson said last week she offers Obama advice by e-mail and is “amazed” he finds the time to reply to her. “Someone like the senator, who is constantly traveling and constantly ‘on,’ how can he return these personal e-mails?” she gushed to Politico. Hunter, who was working as a community liaison for Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer for over a year, left that job a few weeks ago. It’s not clear what his position is within the Obama campaign. “He was one of the nicest, most unpretentious employees ever,” said one Stringer staffer. “Nobody cared he was Scarlett’s brother; we all forgot the last name. He wants to go change the world, and I guess the US president is greater than the Manhattan one,” the insider laughed. Source: NY Post |

The Spirit character poster for Scarlett Johansson’s Silken Floss has now been released and it is really cool. Her tagline reads: “On your knees then…” I also added a New York, I Love You teaser poster, which does not feature Scarlett.

Production has come to a standstill on Scarlett Johansson’s latest flick, Mary Queen of Scots, because of an impending actors’ strike. The movie was set to shoot in Ireland in the next few weeks, but the production company wants to hold off. A spokesperson for Element Pictures says, “With strike action involving the Screen Actors Guild looming we are waiting to see what happens. We are hoping that things get resolved in the next few weeks.” Source: Hollyscoop |

I finally got around to adding the He’s Just Not That Into You HD trailer caps in the gallery. While the film does not look like one that I’ll personally love and adore - I am simply not a romantic comedy kind of girl - Scarlett sure looks adorable in this role. My internet connection is still not stable but I’ll do my very best to keep you updated on the latest. GALLERY LINKS: |
