No Scarlett in a reality show
23 June, 2009

Excitement at ITV2, which announces a reality show in which Fearne Cotton will shadow four famous women including Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson. What a scoop! “The series will be a real chance to peel back the layers of certain celebrities’ lives,” says Cotton. But how did they manage to sign such an A-list talent? Her agent, Marcel Pariseau, of True Public Relations, says: “We have never been approached about the Fearne Cotton show and Scarlett would never participate in this sort of show. Scarlett is a very private person. It’s a complete fabrication.” Sounds like something was lost in translation.

Thank God Scarlett won’t be taking part in that reality show, I can’t see her related to Paris Hilton in any way, and she’s a really private person. It sounded really strange.

23 June, 2009

Back in May, we reported that Scarlett’s segment was cut from New York, I Love You.  We now have good news!  Although the segment was not put back in, the short film will be getting a release of sorts.

Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut, a short film titled The Vagabond Shows, starring Kevin Bacon, will premiere as part of the opening night of LA Shorts Fest ’09, which runs July 23-31 at the Sunset 5 Laemmle Theater in West Hollywood.

Johansson will appear and take part in a Q&A.

The festival, which will screen more than 300 films, is recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a qualifying fest for Oscar consideration.

Scarlett Considered For Bride Zilla In New Remake?
23 June, 2009

For the a new remake of Frankenstein, they want Bride Zilla to be played by someone “along the lines of Scarlett Johansson”. The role was originally played by Elsa Lanchester. What do you guys think? Is this a role you’d like to see Scarlett play?

“The Bride of Frankenstein will be young this time. They’re looking for a person with great power and sex appeal. Someone along the lines of Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway.”
The wild-haired bride was originally played by English actress Elsa Lanchester.
The film follows on from ‘Frankenstein’ – which sees Dr. Frankenstein bring a ‘human’ to life from separate body parts – and sees the doctor create a partner for the monster.
