Scarlett’s back in LA for some Iron Man 2 promotion (remember that the movie has already opened worldwide but it opens this friday May 7 in the US). She attended the Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night looking super sexy with a black dress. And just this morning she went to the Ellen DeGeneres Show, such a funny interview to watch! You can check out some stills I’ve added to the gallery and you’ve got links for the interviews after the cut.

PS: She’s also gonna be attending the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight!

Phil In Reno

I went and saw Iron Man 2 yesterday and I have been anxous to review it here.

I will review Iron Man 2 in two parts. First The Movie: I enjoyed this movie. I will not go into plot points for I do not want to give anything away. But I will say that the script had more depth then I thought it would, and it works. Mickey Rourke plays a wonderful ‘Bad Guy.’ However he is not really believeable as an evil nuclear physicist. Robert Downey Jr. gives a fun and deep performance showing more of Tony Stark in this movie then in the first. The special effects are just fine, and wait until you see what they do to a Rolls Royce!

The second part of my review focusses on Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. I am sorry to say this, but Scarlett is totally under utilized in this movie. Last year when I read that Scarlett finished pricipal photography a month before everyone else, I feared that her roll would not be very large and sadly I was right. While Scarlett gives a fine and credible perfrormace, her roll could have been played by any woman in Hollywood, and I think Scarlett was cast for her name more than for her talent.
The news get worse I am affraid. If you have seen Scarlett’s hallway fight scene clip that has been shown on most of the interview shows that she has been on this week, then you have already seen her big scene.

To sum up Iron Man 2, go and see the movie for a fun movie. But don’t go to watch Scarlett, because you have most likely seen her best scenes already.
