Miss Johansson attended Elle magazine’s 14th Annual Women in Hollywood party held at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday.

Scarlett was one of the women who was toasted for making their mark in the film industry. Diane Lane, Amy Adams, Jennifer Connelly, Kate Bosworth, Julie Taymor and Lauren Bacall were the other six actresses honored.

Here’s a little tidbit from USA Today:

Johansson, 22, was thrilled for the opportunity to catch up with Bacall. “I had to let her know I just got her biography, and I’m about to start reading it.” On her way out, Johansson caught up with Jennifer Beals to make plans to get together for a game night.

Fashion magazine Elle, taking over the franchise created by the late Premiere magazine, will host the 14th annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Oct. 15, when it will honor actresses Lauren Bacall, Scarlett Johansson, Diane Lane, Kate Bosworth, Jennifer Connelly, Amy Adams and director Julie Taymor.

Unlike earlier reported, Scarlett Johansson will unfortunately not be attending the Venice Film Festival this year.

She will, however, be on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien on Friday, August 31, 2007.

Since there’s been a few new and exciting projects announced for Scarlett Johansson today, I figured I’d make a little catch-up post.

Also, for the fans planning on going to Venice – her publicist informed me that Scarlett will indeed attend The Nanny Diaries presentation later on this month! This will be her fourth time attending the festival. Back in 2004 she was even part of the jury.

Just to let you know, Scarlett did not attend the Live Earth event yesterday unlike earlier speculated. She must have been busy preparing for the upcoming Woody Allen movie, which begins filming tomorrow. Here’s to hoping some on the set images will appear!

Besides starting to film Woody Allen’s newest film next month, there has not been a whole lot going on with Scarlett Johansson recently, atleast not in the public eye. I assume she is currently cutting her first album and preparing for her new role.

Regarding recent magazine coverage, Scarlett was on the cover of You magazine (The Mail On Sunday) a week back with a great article regarding her recent trip to India. She’s also currently featured in the new issue of teen mag Bliss. Both of these are British magazines and we will have scans up shortly.

Here’s an excerpt from the You article, which mentions that Scarlett was approached by Al Gore to help in publicising next month’s Live Earth concert. So perhaps we’ll be seeing her there – unless she’ll already be filming in Spain.

She won’t be drawn on this possible film project, but she does share another message, from Al Gore. That’s former US vice president Al Gore, asking for Scarlett’s help in publicising Live Earth, July’s big Live Aid-style global concert to draw attention to climate change.

As earlier reported, Scarlett Johansson went to the Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art honoring Poiret yesterday. She looked flirty in a modified Stella McCartney Fall 2007 dress and posed for the photographers with the designer herself and model Amber Valetta. The first pictures from the set have now been added to the gallery.

According to Fashion Week Daily, Scarlett will attend Monday night’s Costume Institute Gala, where she will be at Louis Vuitton’s table. Other expected celebrities include The Black Dahlia co-stars Hilary Swank and Rose McGowan, Rosario Dawson and many more.

Scarlett Johansson arrived at the Louis Vuitton LoVe party yesterday evening in a metallic Louis Vuitton corset-inspired top and pleated skirt. To complete the ensemble, she paired the outfit with matching ring and earrings and a pair of silver pumps. The event was held to benefit Oxfam. 62 HQs have now been added to the gallery.
