It’s official! Scarlett Johansson takes the cover of April’s Vogue Paris photographed by Mario Sorrenti.

A March 12th CNN video (here), discussing the fashion economic state, captures the Vogue Paris team handling what could be the next Vogue Paris cover (minute 2:07). This of course could be a supplement cover, or one of a few as indicative from the below image showcasing possibly different covers. Or it could be nothing.

Eme has kindly scanned us the February 2009 issue of Spanish Elle and translated a couple of interesting quotes from Scarlett:

“I’m an actress, not a politician. If I can use my profession to make a better world, why not? I prefer talking about my collaboration with (RED) instead of talking about how much I like chicken salad, it has much more meaning to me. If I can grab people’s attention and achieve that they buy products in an intelligent way, it’s a step forward. My support doesn’t outshine the work that volunteers do, which I have witnessed in Africa. Each of them contributes considering their real possibilities. On one side there are those who dedicate all their heart and soul to help here and on the other side those who buy an object knowing that a percentage will go directly to an humanitarian organization. Both commitments are valid and not incompatible at all.”

“People from industrialized cities won’t stop buying products even though other countries are suffering. They will continue buying mobile phones, mp3, computers, clothes… and taking coffee. So why not choosing (RED) products? Here, doctors tell us that they can build hospitals thanks to that money. When you learn about that, there are no more questions. [...] People don’t always have time to contribute to charity… not only can they buy the products they want this way but also help the needed.”

Today you can buy the Scarlett Johansson Collection on DVD. This is merely just a re-packaging of some of Scarlett’s previous films but it is still neat and some of you might wish to pick it up to add to your memorabilia collections.

The films included are A Good Woman (2004) where she played Meg Windermere, Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) say her as Griet, and An American Rhapsody (2001) had Scarlett playing young Suzanne Sandor.

This February will see a publishing first — over 30 covers of the February issues of Elle Magazine internationally will feature Gisele on the cover as she teams up with Scarlett and BONO to help fight AIDS in Africa for (RED).

Inside, Scarlett Johansson shares private details and photos of her travels to Rwanda and (RED) Founder and U2 Front man, Bono publishes a very personal letter.

Scarlett on AIDS tests:

“When I admitted that I’d taken two HIV tests, everyone was completely horrified, the implication being that I was leading this wild lifestyle,” says Scarlett Johansson, whose decision to join Bono in the (RED) initiative was a “no brainer.” “I was only being responsible.”

“When you purchase (PRODUCT) RED items – from partners including Apple, Armani, Converse and the Gap – up to 50 percent of profits go directly to fighting HIV/AIDS in Africa. Forty cents a day translates to the two antiretroviral pills needed to survive.”

Va-Va-VOOM! Are all the words that come to mind whilst viewing the breathtaking photoshoot of Scarlett for Harper’s Bazaar February 2009. Miss Johansson looks 100% movie star and ultra glamorous in the Valentine’s Day themed shoot. They’ve also debuted the actual newstand cover (before being the subscriber’s unlike previously noted). This is truly one of my all time favorites – yeah I know we say that a lot, but seriously!

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, the 24-year-old actress was photographed by Alexi Lubomirski in a strapless red gown by Oscar de la Renta. (According to Just Jared This is the subscriber cover – on the newsstand cover, she’s standing in front of a big heart wearing Roberto Cavalli.)
