Actress Scarlett Johansson, who released an album of Tom Waits covered named “Anywhere I Lay My Head” yesterday (May 19), has hinted that she may play festival dates this summer.
The star said that the only thing stopping her was stagefright.
“It would be sad to not get everybody [band members] together,” she told The London Paper. “Whether it’s at a festival or somewhere that’s kind of fun.
“[But] I have horrible stage fright, so it would have to be overcome. People approach me [about playing live] and my usual answer is, ‘Ah, I’ll think about that’.
“When I do think about it, I start to get really sweaty and uncomfortable and itchy around the neck.”

I have been going through the donations bin this weekend, which includes some really cool stuff. Romina and Joanna sent in scans from new Dutch and Polish magazines (including some new pics!) and Roberto contributed screencaps of deleted scenes of The Nanny Diaries, which can be found on the Italian DVD. Since her star turn in Lost in Translation, Scarlett Johansson has always managed to keep a foothold on the classier, cool side of Hollywood. But now, with her Dave Sitek-produced debut album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head”, due out May 20 on Atco/Rhino, the comparisons to fellow musically-inclined young actresses were sure to follow. Here’s what she had to say about how she sees herself in relation to Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton:
“I have no relationship with either of them, even as far as my lifestyle or the music I listen to. They probably made music that fits with their lifestyle — ‘Wouldn’t it be great if I were dancing to my own song in “da club”?’ But my album is more suited to my lifestyle. I live a very low-key life.”
Scarlett and Natalie Portman continue to promote The Other Boleyn Girl for its UK release this Friday. The two ladies are quite literally everywhere at the moment – you can find numerous online interviews as well as ones on British television. I was able to catch The Fix (both last and this week’s episodes, Film 2008 (aired on Monday) and 4 Music (Scarlett and Natalie special, aired this morning) on the telly and I’ve made caps of them for your viewing pleasure.
