In issue 215 of Total Film magazine, Scarlett Johansson tells us that she was initially unsure about making Avengers Assemble because it seemed like such a “ridiculous” idea.

Inside the issue – which is available for just £1.99 on your iPad – Johansson reveals that she was initially sceptical about Marvel’s grand plan after making Iron Man 2.

“The idea of it is ridiculous!” she says. “When they told me that was the next step, I said, ‘Oh, no! That is a disaster! You saw Thor, you saw Captain America, you saw Iron Man, those things don’t go together!'”

Since starring in the third highest-grossing film of all time (Avengers, ahead of this year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier), she’s come around.

Revealing that she’s expecting the script for Avengers: Age Of Ultron “any day now”, she promises “when it comes you can guarantee it’ll be read in 25 minutes”.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on 28 March 2014.

Scarlett Johansson admits she often worries about her figure changing. The actress is considered one of the most beautiful women in the industry and was voted Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine this year and in 2006.

Despite her gorgeous looks, the 29-year-old insists she has just as much of an issue with confidence as other women.

“Erm… yeah, I mean, I’m human!” she laughed to Total Film when asked if she has doubts about her figure.

“I’m a girl – you wake up every day and go, ‘Oh, what changed while I slept?’”

Scarlett’s looks often get her noticed while out and about, with paparazzi and fans all wanting to get to her.

While most women would love to look like her, the actress isn’t always at ease with the attention.

“Just the fact that I’m public recognised alone can be very isolating,” she sighed.

“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to be more able to be with myself. I feel more [comfortable] in my own skin… I feel more relaxed.”

With the Christmas season in full swing, Scarlett is thinking about all the festive food.

She won’t deny herself some treats over the holiday, but is always keen to stay active.

“I am one of those people who feels bloated if I sit around too long eating and drinking and not exercising,” she explained to British magazine You. “So I may hit the gym a bit more [in the New Year], but not as punishment or out of guilt but because I feel physically and mentally better when I exercise. And it’s nice time out for myself.”

Knocking one possible award off her impressive list, Scarlett Johansson will not be bringing home a Golden Globe for her work in “Her.”

According to various reports, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has ruled that Johansson’s voice-only performance in Spike Jonze’s film will not be eligible. A member of the association explained that in order to be nominated, the actor has to have a physical presence onscreen.

In the film, Scarlett portrays Samantha, an operating system for a near-future computer device. During the course of the flick, Samantha begins to form a relationship with her installer, Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix).

A lot of actors cut their teeth doing commercials, but Scarlett Johansson was happy to lend her talents to Dolce & Gabbana – especially since she’d be working with Martin Scorsese and Matthew McConaughey.

Helmed by the legendary director, the black and white ad titled The One and features the good-looking pair taking a drive around the Big Apple before rekindling their romance on a balcony.

In a behind-the-scenes video, the “Don Jon” star gushes about her coworkers, saying, “Just getting to work with Martin Scorsese has been all around hugely memorable, and having him say things to me like, ‘That was a great take’ really will always stick in my memory.”

As for the southern gent, Scarlett shares, “It was wonderful working with Matthew. I think he’s the perfect leading man onscreen and off. You know, he’s charming and charismatic and has a lot of the qualities that audiences love.” Check out her interview in the video below.

Scarlett Johansson admits she puts pressure on her fiancé to change as a person.
The ‘Don Jon’ actress is set to marry French former journalist Romain Dauriac soon, but says she – like many other people – has to work hard to understand and respect who he is as a person, rather than try and change him into the man she would ideally like him to be.
She said: “I can certainly relate to this habit of wanting your partner to just kind of fit into this mould you’ve made for them. We do place pressure on somebody to just do it the way we think it should be done.
“It takes a lot of growth and searching to understand that it is the differences in relationships that enrich and strengthen the relationship; that help us evolve as people and partners. I understand that conviction – I know that is something I am guilty of.”

Johansson is very happy in her personal and professional life at the moment.
The 29-year-old actress – who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds – is particularly happy in her career and feels blessed to be able to do something she loves for a living.
Speaking to Marie Claire magazine, she explained: “I think I’ve always been, by nature, a happy person. You know, everybody has their moments, but I do what I love and my job is very satisfying and I get paid to do it. I live in New York, I live in Paris, I get to travel a lot. I work with people I admire. How can I complain?”

She can light up a screen like no one else, but Scarlett Johansson never actually appears during the forthcoming film “Her.”

The “We Bought a Zoo” babe plays a computer girlfriend in the Spike Jonze flick, and her voice performance is so good she may be nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award despite the fact that she’s never actually on camera.

After the weekend world premiere at the New York Film Festival, Scott Foundas of Variety wrote, “It’s Johansson who pulls off the trickiest feat: She creates a complex, full-bodied character without any body at all. Detached from her lethally curvaceous figure, the actress’ breathy contralto is no less seductive, but it also alights with tenderness and wonder as Samantha, both here on Earth and up there in the Cloud, voraciously devours literature, philosophy and human experience.”

“Johansson’s work in the film is lovely, and the best thing about the way she plays the part is that there’s nothing calculated or ‘sexy’ about the way she approaches it. Removed from the undeniable sweater-girl appeal she packs when she’s onscreen, forced to rely only on her voice, Johansson comes across as a warm, curious, vibrant personality. It’s incredibly appealing,” added Drew McWeeny of HitFix.

“Her” is slated to hit theaters on January 10th.
