With every new cover, comes a photoshoot. I added the first 2 pics of the shoot Scarlett did for Elle, shot by Rankin.

Ever since her breakthrough performance in Sophia Coppola’s Lost In Translation, Scarlett Johansson has become known for exuding old school glamour on the red carpet. So it came as no surprise to see the petite actress play one of the most legendary icy blondes to ever work with Alfred Hitchcock in a film biopic of his life. Ahead of the movie’s release, Scarlett showed just why she was selected for the role of Janet Leigh in a series of smouldering photos captured by acclaimed photographer Rankin. As the February 2013 cover star of UK Elle magazine, the 28-year old’s retro curves were given a modern makeover using a fresh colour palette of next season’s designer offerings.

We’re starting 2013 off right with a superstar on our cover: Scarlett Johansson.

The BAFTA Award-winning actress graces the February 2013 cover in a white dress by Victoria Beckham, along with white leather peep-toe booties by Manolo Blahnik for Beckham.

Rankin also photographed the Avengers star in new-season designs from Jonathan Saunders, Tom Ford and Burberry Prorsum.

In the accompanying interview, Johansson talks about her bombshell status, marriage and her perfect New York night. Read the rest when the issue hits newsstands on Wednesday 2 January.

After hacking the email accounts of more than 50 celebrities, Christopher Chaney was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Monday (December 17).

Back in March, Chaney pleaded guilty to nine felony counts, including wiretapping and unauthorized access to a computer.

His targets included Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, and Mila Kunis. Law enforcement finally caught up to the hacker in October 2011 as part of the FBI’s “Operation Hackerazzi” investigation.

Because of his actions, nude photos taken by Scarlett Johansson intended for then-husband Ryan Reynolds were leaked to the internet.

The actress got a horseshoe tattoo on her ribcage, inscribed with “Lucky You”.

Holding up up her grey T-shirt, the 27-year-old actress showed off her brand new accessory, which she opted for while in Paris, France, last week.

The Hitchcock actress commissioned French tattoist and graffiti artist Fuzi Uvtpk to create the inking for her after recently attending an exhibition of his work at Le Salon.

Klik op de foto om originele grootte te bekijkenScarlett Johansson was scared to death when she shot the infamous shower scene from Psycho for her new film Hitchcock, because of co-star Anthony Hopkins.

Scarlett, who plays actress Janet Leigh in the film, says that she didn’t mind stripping down and getting all wet to film the iconic scene — but she did have trouble getting Hopkins’ portrayal of cannibalistic Silence Of The Lambs serial killer Hannibal Lecter out of her head — something that actually helped her nail the scene.

“Hmm, how did I prepare? Well, I just prepared myself to get very, very wet,” she tells V Magazine. “We only had the luxury to shoot the scene for a day, and everybody was feeling very nervous because it involved water and nobody wants the actor to get wet. They were concerned with modesty and all these things — but I don’t care about any of that stuff and Janet Leigh never did either.

“You have got to be brave, get into the shower, and face Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock jabbing you in the face with a 12-inch kitchen knife…” she adds. “But that’s what he does! As much as Anthony Hopkins is a pussycat, he’s terrifying. Maybe I watched Silence of the Lambs too many times when I was a kid. Maybe I was having some flashbacks. So I didn’t need too much preparation for the scene.”

Hitchcock, which focuses on the life of the legendary director and the behind-the-scenes happenings while he was filming his 1959 classic Psycho, opens November 23. Check out ScarJo’s full interview in the December issue of V Magazine and at V Magazine.com

Sultry Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has broken up with her  boyfriend Nate Naylor.

The 27-year-old Lost In Translation star, left, met the dashing advertising executive  in January – after splitting up with  52-year-old actor Sean Penn – and the romance progressed quickly, with Nate, 38, all but moving into her Manhattan apartment. But last month she was pictured cuddling up to and holding hands with her ex-boyfriend, actor Jared Leto, 40, during a speech at  a political rally in North Carolina.

At the time she insisted they were just good friends and her representatives adamantly denied that she and Nate had split, saying: ‘Scarlett is still dating Nate. This is very innocent. Scarlett and Jared have remained friends, nothing more, nothing less.’

But just a few weeks later Nate – who is a dead ringer for Don Draper from the TV series Mad Men and who has posted hundreds of violent and sexually charged bondage photographs on his personal website – has moved all of his belongings out of her flat and the relationship is over.

‘They never officially lived together, but Nate has moved all of his stuff out and back into his apartment,’ says a source. ‘The relationship is over. It has not been amicable.’ Scarlett’s representative declined to comment last night.

The Scarlett Johansson-toplined revival of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” has gone from possibility to certainty, with a production also starring Ciaran Hinds, Benjamin Walker and Debra Monk gearing up for a run that begins in December.

Set to direct is American helmer Rob Ashford (“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”), best known for staging musicals in the States but also the director of well-received play revivals in London.

Johansson, whose last gig on Broadway scored her a Tony for her turn in the 2010 revival of “A View From the Bridge,” will play Maggie the Cat. Hinds, last on the Rialto in 2007 play “The Seafarer,” is onboard as Big Daddy and Walker (“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”) — returning to Broadway after his breakout 2010 perf in musical “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson — is set to play Maggie’s husband Brick. Monk takes on the role of Big Mama.

Ashford is no stranger to starry play revivals, having won raves in Blighty at the helm of the 2011 Jude Law starrer “Anna Christie” and the Rachel Weisz-toplined 2009 staging of “A Streetcar Named Desire,” both produced by London’s Donmar Warehouse.

Stuart Thompson, one of the producers of “View From the Bridge,” produces “Cat.”

Production of the 1955 Tennessee Williams play is the third to land on Broadway in the last decade, with a 2003 revival starring Ashley Judd followed in 2008 by an all-black production with a cast that included James Earl Jones and Phylicia Rashad.

Newest version of “Cat” begins previews Dec. 18 ahead of a Jan. 17 opening at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
