Mark Ruffalo has joined Scarlett Johansson in the pic Can A Song Save Your Life?, which Exclusive Media is shopping to buyers in Berlin next week.

Pic, which is helmed and penned by John Carney (Once), will be produced and financed by Exclusive Media.

Story sees a young female singer, who has just moved to New York City to pursue a career in music, get dumped by her boyfriend. Her world takes a turn for the better when a down-on-his luck record producer discovers her and the two forge a romance and turn each others’ lives around.

Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman is attached to produce with Judd Apatow.

But David Letterman was more interested in discussing the nude self-portraits recently hacked from Johansson’s cellphone.

To her credit, she seemed to have a healthy perspective on the ordeal. “Somebody stole my nudie photos. They were out there for all the world to see which was, uh, unfortunate, really,” she said, laughing. Johansson, who described herself as “lame” when it comes to technology, suspected something was awry when her email password changed multiple times over several months. “It meant the guy was there constantly, every 20 seconds, sitting there all pasty and sweaty and pervy and weird. And that’s the creepiest thing, really,” she said.

She talked about working with animals, and with Cameron Crowe,  and  she was also asked about how she has dealt with this year afterdivorcing and the hacking scandal on what she said:

“I’ve been really fortunate. I’ve found that even in times of crisis I’ve had a lot of love around me and people have come out of all different dark corners to support me and that’s really a beautiful thing. I think I’ve also learned to be much more tolerant and patient.”

The first trailer for writer/director Joss Whedon’s The Avengers is now available online. Quick impression: I really like what I see. The plot is simple and to the point: Loki wants to destroy the Earth, and Nick Fury puts a team of superheroes together to stop him. While this may be a “team”, the star of the trailer (and perhaps the movie; we’ll see) is Robert Downey Jr. He gets both the laugh lines and the bad-ass lines. I don’t think anyone else talks except for Loki, Nick Fury, and Captain America. The only thing that’s awful is the music that plays in the second half of the trailer, but that’s no fault of the movie.
