On hearing that her lips inspired Katy Perry to pen “I Kissed A Girl”: “That’s flattering, but my lips are kind of taken.”
“I had no idea [about the song]. I should get a cut!”
On not knowing why Lindsay Lohan doesn’t like her: “I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times.”
On Lindsay scrawling vulgar words about the actress on a NYC bathroom stall 2½ years ago: “That’s what I heard. I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’”
On Woody Allen once calling her his muse: “I don’t inspire that work that Woody does. I’m just lucky to fit into the ‘young woman’ category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn’t me, it would be someone else.”
On how she met husband Ryan Reynolds: “Nobody knows. It’s private. It’s our story.”
On the tattoo on her forearm: “It’s kind of personal. It’s a sunrise, and it makes me happy when I look at it.”

“I run a very lucrative operation and I’m great eye candy.”
- Silken Floss
Mega promotion is really getting started for The Spirit due out December 25, 2008. First off, we have a new Christmas themed trailer. Next up, Miss Silken Floss graces the cover of Wizard #206 (December). It’s a gorgeous new promo image. Lastly, MTV debuted a new show called Spoilers tonight which had a featurette about the film’s women. If you’re a US resident, you can watch the entire first episode via this link. You may also watch a longer cut of the featurette which features more of the Spirit’s ladies after the cut. There was a lot of new Scarlett scenes and even an interview. I will make caps of this tomorrow.

Scarlett talks about The Spirit in issue 149 of Total Film magazine, on sale this Friday. I will be sure to pick up a copy for us. Meanwhile, here’s a preview:
Scarlett Johansson will return to the big screen next month, and this time she’ll be sexier than ever.
The Lost In Translation actress will play the baddie’s sidekick Silken Floss in the film adaptation of comic book The Spirit - a role which director Frank Miller included in the film just for Scarlett.
“Well, she’s a doctor or a nurse, really, but yes, she’s very sexy. Frank really allowed that to develop. Very forward and sexy in a 1940s way,” Scarlett told Empire magazine [Total Film?].
She added that the dialogue, comprising of witty one-liners, made her character even sexier.
“That was so much fun. I mean the dialogue was great. Only Frank could write this stuff… Forget about obscene - it’s worse than that because it’s so clever!”
But Scarlett said her character wasn’t just a bad girl.
“Like a lot of the characters, she’s kind of in a grey area. They’re not really good and they’re not really bad, you know? They’re products of their environment, I think,” she said.
