Wow – the first teaser trailer footage of The Black Dahlia is out now for your viewing pleasure at YouTube – and it looks absolutely breath-taking! Only a few quick climbses at Ms. Johansson, though. It looks like it was shown on Access Hollywood so I would assume the full trailer will be up online by this weekend!

According to their website, The Black Dahlia will see its world premiere and open the 63rd Venice Film Festival on 30th August 2006. It will also be presented in competition. The all star cast, including Scarlett Johansson, have been confirmed to step on the red carpet in Venice’s (Italy) Lido island.
“We are honoured”, declared President Davide Croff and Director Marco Muller, “That Brian De Palma has chosen to inaugurate the 63rd Venice Film Festival with his new and long-awaited thriller, thus confirming his strong links with Venice. We are also happy that the Festival, thanks to this film, will once again be able to welcome two great stars from today’s film industry, both of whom first made a name for themselves in Venice: Scarlett Johansson, with Lost in Translation, and a jury member in 2004, and Hilary Swank, who was in Venice in 1999 with the film that won her her first Oscar, Boy’s Don’t Cry.”

Scarlett Johansson will join Natalie Portman and Eric Bana in The Other Boleyn Girl for helmer Justin Chadwick. Pic, based on Phillippa Gregory’s historical novel, is being produced by Scott Rudin Prods., Ruby Films and BBC Films.
Story centers on two ferociously ambitious sisters, Mary and Anne Boleyn, who were rivals for the bed and heart of King Henry VIII. Portman and Johansson will star as the sisters, with Bana playing the King. Peter Morgan penned the adaptation. Sony is distributing domestically, with Focus Features handling international distribution. Shooting starts this fall in London.
Johansson next stars in Woody Allen’s Scoop, out July 28, followed by The Black Dahlia on Sept. 15 and The Prestige Oct. 27. She just wrapped The Nanny Diaries.
