According to The New York Post, Scarlett will be hosting an event tonight:
That new Louis Vuitton president Daniel Lalonde and Scarlett Johansson are hosting a gala tonight to celebrate Vuitton’s new “LoVe” collection at the Fifth Avenue store… That Carl Loewenson is the new chairman of the Javits Convention Center, as we first reported, but he’s not leaving the Morrison & Foerster law firm. The Javits job is unpaid, and Loewenson is keeping his day gig… That a marketing campaign has been launched to dress some of the city’s most beloved statues in custom-made N.Y. Rangers jerseys.
I have finally finished editing and uploading the Saturday Night Live videos. A total of eight clips can now be found here. Unfortunately my Windows Movie Maker is acting up so there is some strange picture delay in the beginning of the videos. I am sorry about that but I have no idea how to fix it and believe me, I tried several times. 😉
Well, without futher ados – happy viewing!
Details are still ketchy regarding the April 26 The Jesus and Mary Chain Coachella warm-up but it does look like Scarlett did not perform with the band on that date. She did, however, take the stage yesterday at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California to sing the backing vocals to Just Like Honey. Here are two reports that I came across:
Just when The Jesus And Mary Chain appeared to be winding things down, Johansson took the stage dressed in a colourful paisley mini-dress. Without saying a word, she joined Reid on the chorus of Just Like Honey.
“Wasn’t that nice?” Reid asked after they finished their duet and Johansson left the stage.

Let’s get this out of the way: As widely predicted, Scarlett Johansson joined the Jesus & Mary Chain onstage Friday night at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. But if that’s what you were waiting around for, you were probably disappointed.
The young actress came out wearing a paisley minidress and a straw hat toward the end of the legendary shoegazer band’s set, its first in eight years, to stand at center stage beside Jim Reid. Her job? To repeatedly sing the title line in Just Like Honey, a song recorded when she was an infant. Johansson looked a bit nervous and left the stage immediately upon finishing the song; she said nothing to the crowd. As to her vocal abilities, she didn’t do anything that anyone else couldn’t do. She may be a capable singer, but this performance didn’t prove anything.

I’ve also added 19 pictures of Scarlett’s performance to the gallery.
Scarlett Johansson is featured in People‘s Most Beautiful issue of 2007. She’s now been featured in the list three times in a row, for years 2007, 2006 and 2005.
“My hair is such a disaster. I never blow-dry. I can’t do my hair at all. It?s just a burden,” admits the star of The Nanny Diaries. But the 22-year-old does like one specific part of her anatomy: “I think I have really good feet. They’re cute!”
It seems that Scarlett did not host the Free Arts NYC’s 8th annual art and photography auction and benefit, ‘Portraits & Polaroids’, on April 23, 2007, in New York, unlike earlier reported. The event was held yesterday and pictures have been released, none of them unfortunately featuring Scarlett. If interested, be sure to check out Liv Tyler Online for pictures of Liv Tyler looking fabulous at the event! According to an article by NY Post, there seems to be some confusion as to whether Scarlett had ever agreed to host the event:
Though event publicists said Johansson “cancelled her appearance,” her rep told Page Six, “Scarlett never agreed to co-host the Free Arts NYC event and was never scheduled to attend.”
I am still working on those Saturday Night Live clips. While waiting, check out photos of Scarlett at the After Party during the wee hours of the morning. View them here.
According to Cat Dirt Sez, The Jesus and Mary Chain are reportedly set to team up with Scarlett Johansson for a special show. Following rumours they would have a special guest on their US tour dates, the actress will sing back up on their Coachella warm-up date in Pomona, California on April 26.
It is not known if the collaboration will be a one off or will be repeated, although with the gig happening so close to the festival, if the collaboration goes ahead it could easily be repeated for the event. The band are set to play their first gigs since they split up in 1998.
A little piece of trivia: The Jesus and Mary Chain is, of course, the band behind Just Like Honey, the song played during the final credits of Lost in Translation.
