Big thanks to Elmira Asainova for sending in scans from the January/February 2007 issue of Premiere magazine, which features clippings on Scarlett’s two upcoming films, The Nanny Diaries and The Other Boleyn Girl. We’ve seen the images before but they feature quotes from Scarlett on both projects that are previously unseen.
Johansson was lured by the chance to work with Portman, in a project where both could shine. “It’s very clear that the meaning of the ‘other’ Boleyn girl changes over time”, she says.
Scarlett has made no. 5 on USA Today‘s Pop Cultures Top 100 People of the Year 2006 only to be beated by Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Borat & The YouTube nerds.
5. Scarlett Johansson.
Another year of being super-sexy — how can she handle the pressure? Scarlett also graced The Prestige and Woody Allen’s Scoop, a movie I didn’t think was nearly as terrible as critics made it out to be. (However, I can’t say the same for The Black Dahlia.) I’m kind of hoping those Tom Waits reports are true. If not, maybe she could play Tom’s daughter in a Jim Jarmusch movie or something.

Lots of updates for today. First of all, thanks to Maria for letting us know that The Nanny Diaries has been pushed back for a month. The new release date is April 20, 2007.
I’ve updated the Fan Archive with 4 new Livejournal Icons of the Style/Red photoshoot by this site’s another previous owner, Mel. The trivia and quotes have been updated with new stuff. I’ve also given the forum a new and refreshing look.
Last but not least, Scarlett-Photos.com has been updated with hundreds of pics, including talk show caps, event pics and photoshoots. As usual, be sure to log in and view all new additions here. A few previews can be seen below but there’s too many to list all 29 pages of pic goodies that have been added in the past few days.
No Golden Globe nominations for Scarlett Johansson this year, I’m afraid. You can view full list of nominees here.
I have some disappointing news to bring. The Golden Globes website states that Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Philip Berk, Jessica Biel, Rosario Dawson and Matthew Perry will be announcing the Golden Globes tomorrow – with no mention of Scarlett Johansson whatsoever. Perhaps she had to return to England for Boleyn Girl?
Still, keep your fingers crossed for a Best Actress nomination for Scoop!
Miss Johansson attended ‘Les Perles de Chanel’ private dinner yesterday in New York City. She looked very classy in a black number, spicing it up with the red tint and bright lipstick. Five pictures have been added to Scarlett-Photos.com – just make sure that you’re registered and logged in before trying to view these.
Just a reminder – the Golden Globe nominations will be announced tomorrow by Scarlett, Philip Berk, Jessica Biel and Matthew Perry. E! will air the announcement show live at 8:30am (EST) tomorrow.
Scarlett has been listed for AskMen.com’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women for 2007. The 170 finalists have been selected, and now it s up to you to help determine the final 99. Do you want to see Scarlett make the final cut? Be sure to spread the news and give her a 10 here.
And do not forget to cast your vote at the People’s Choice Awards over here. As reported earlier, Scarett is nominated in the Favorite Leading Lady category.
Thanks to my friend Sandra and her amazing Hugh-Jackman.com for informing us that the US and UK DVD release dates have now been announced for The Prestige! The DVD will become available for US residents on February 20, 2007 and March 12, 2007 for UK/European residents according to Amazon.com and .co.uk.
And just a reminder that The Black Dahlia will be released on December 26, 2006 (US) and on January 22, 2006 (UK). I’ve pre-ordered my copy already so caps and clips will be added in a couple of weeks time. Can’t wait!
That suited Vuitton artistic director Marc Jacobs just fine, given the romantic mood of his collection, which featured dense ruffles, Liberty prints and monogram handbags overlaid with metallic lace.
“She looks like the French coquette,” Jacobs said of Johansson’s appearance in Vuitton’s next campaign, slated to break in February magazines. “It’s just fresh, very romantic and extremely pretty.”
