Although it does not come as news to fans of Scarlett Johansson, Esquire has now officially crowded our special lady as the Sexiest Woman Alive! According to Washington Post, Scarlett poses on the cover and inside pages of the magazine’s November issue, on newsstands 18th October.
On the cover, she wears a bra and a white Calvin Klein mini-dress; In a series of photos inside (showing her as an “enigmatic trailer-park temptress,” the magazine says), she wears cleavage-baring black lingerie paired with an open white robe, among other get-ups.
In the article Scarlett says she would rather be admired for attributes other than sex appeal. “What about my brain? What about my heart? What about my kidneys and my gallbladder?” she asks, addressing all the hoopla about her curves.
She is no stranger to the paparazzi’s cameras, and once flashed a sign proclaiming, “the person taking this picture is harrassing me.” “Apparently I spelled ‘harass’ wrong,” she recalls. “It was horrible. I couldn’t remember whether it was one `r’ or two, and I asked like four people, and they said two.”
Apparently Scarlett is on the cover of the October 2006 #77 issue of Flaunt magazine with a brand new photoshoot. I would be very grateful if someone could please scan the article for us since we don’t get this magazine in my end.
Scarlett Johansson will portray Mary Queen of Scots in a new movie. The film will depict the antagonistic relationship between Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth I of England, who tried to undermine her rule. 2929 Entertainment is producing the project from a screenplay by Jimmy McGovern. The budget is expected to be in the $25 million-$30 million range. Scarlett’s mother Melanie Johansson will produce the film along with Alexandra Milchan and Donna Gigliotti.
The producers are looking for a director but plan to begin shooting the film by the end of summer 2007.

A-list stars Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman could be spotted in Lacock over the next few weeks as Hollywood film crews return to the picturesque village.
The two actresses are starring in The Other Boleyn Girl, the tale of sisters Anne and Mary Boleyn, who are rivals for the heart of Henry VIII.
A publicist for the film confirmed the stars would be arriving in Lacock to film scenes in the coming weeks.
“We will be filming in Lacock Abbey over the next few weeks. It just looks right for the period and we look forward to filming there enormously,” she said.
The Daily Mail announced today that Kristin Scott Thomas has joined the cast of The Other Boleyn Girl as the mother of Mary and Anne Boleyn. Benedict Cumberbatch is also mentioned as a cast member.
According to some rumours, the film has began filming today in the London area. Other rumoured filming locations of the future include Lacock and Bath.
Well, it is 15th September here in Scotland now which means that The Black Dahlia opens today in the US and UK. Be sure to go and see Scarlett Johansson as Kay Lake and let us know what you thought of the movie.
Because of the positive reaction that the forum idea received, Scarlett-Fan.com now has its very own and brand new message board! It is still looking rather empty so be sure to come by and check it out and discuss The Black Dahlia with me!
