According to PR Inside, Scarlett has confirmed reports she’s filling in time between movie shoots by recording an album.
Apparently she is a huge fan of Tom Waits, and is so keen to do his music justice she’s taking all the time she can in the studio.
She says, “It’s coming along. There is no rush to get it out there.”
“We’re taking our time – doing a week here and week there. I just love his music.”
New photos are pouring from The Prestige London premiere that Scarlett Johansson attended with Hugh Jackman. She looks absolutely stunning channeling the Golden Years of Hollywood. Photos will only be posted at the forum (must be registered to view) for the time being because the new gallery which I have been talking about for weeks will be opened to the public next week.
The Prestige is the #1 film of the weekend, scoring $14.8 million in the box office. Concratulations to The Prestige team for the awesome news.
And sorry for the slow updates but I am really quite busy with university at the moment and the new gallery, which I am hoping to open as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed.
Meanwhile, if anyone is able to contribute scans from Allure or Esquire, please do send them in! Scans will be added later on today from both magazines.
The Prestige starring Scarlett Johansson as Olivia Wenscombe opens today in the US. Be sure to go and see it and share your thoughts on Scarlett’s performance over at the forum.
FoxNews.com reported on Monday that Scarlett has signed a deal to make her first record. “Scarlett Sings Tom Waits”, an album of songs by Tom Waits, is being recorded now and through the winter, with a possible release next spring from Rhino Records’ recently reactivated Atco label. The eventual release date will be coordinated with Scarlett’s movie schedule.
Please keep in mind that the story have not been confirmed by Johansson’s publicist and should be taken as gossip for the time being.
The press archive has gotten a face lift today as I adapted it to fit the main layout. I also added 9 new articles for your reading pleasure, all from recent magazines, including all of Esquire‘s Q&A interviews. Thanks a lot to Melonika and jazhall_uk from the forum for their help with transcribing these!

Although it does not come as news to fans of Scarlett Johansson, Esquire has now officially crowded our special lady as the Sexiest Woman Alive! According to Washington Post, Scarlett poses on the cover and inside pages of the magazine’s November issue, on newsstands 18th October.
On the cover, she wears a bra and a white Calvin Klein mini-dress; In a series of photos inside (showing her as an “enigmatic trailer-park temptress,” the magazine says), she wears cleavage-baring black lingerie paired with an open white robe, among other get-ups.
In the article Scarlett says she would rather be admired for attributes other than sex appeal. “What about my brain? What about my heart? What about my kidneys and my gallbladder?” she asks, addressing all the hoopla about her curves.
She is no stranger to the paparazzi’s cameras, and once flashed a sign proclaiming, “the person taking this picture is harrassing me.” “Apparently I spelled ‘harass’ wrong,” she recalls. “It was horrible. I couldn’t remember whether it was one `r’ or two, and I asked like four people, and they said two.”
Apparently Scarlett is on the cover of the October 2006 #77 issue of Flaunt magazine with a brand new photoshoot. I would be very grateful if someone could please scan the article for us since we don’t get this magazine in my end.
Scarlett Johansson will portray Mary Queen of Scots in a new movie. The film will depict the antagonistic relationship between Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth I of England, who tried to undermine her rule. 2929 Entertainment is producing the project from a screenplay by Jimmy McGovern. The budget is expected to be in the $25 million-$30 million range. Scarlett’s mother Melanie Johansson will produce the film along with Alexandra Milchan and Donna Gigliotti.
The producers are looking for a director but plan to begin shooting the film by the end of summer 2007.
