When rumors hit the Web that the Kurt Cobain biopic had found its leads in Robert Pattinson and Scarlett Johansson, the idea that Pattinson would portray the indie rocker was quickly dismissed. But fans shouldn’t give up on the prospect of Johansson playing the Hole frontwoman, because she hasn’t ruled it out just yet.
“I know that there is a script. That’s as much as I know about it,” she told MTV News while promoting “Iron Man 2.” “I’m a big fan of Courtney’s, and I think she’s very, very talented. But I don’t know anything about the project.”
Johansson — who released an album with Pete Yorn last year and also an album of Tom Waits covers in 2008 — said that despite her musical chops, playing the female rocker would be a different sort of role for her. “It would be a challenge, definitely would be a challenge,” she said. “I think the idea is interesting and intriguing, but I would have to really wrap my head around it.”Recently, Love’s manager, Jonathan Daniel, told Spin that Courtney wouldn’t mind seeing the ingénue play her on the big screen. He also confirmed that the RPattz casting rumors were just that: rumors. “Courtney likes Scarlett Johansson as an actress and as a person, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she wanted her to play her,” Daniel told the magazine. “I’m not sure she knows who RPattz is, but he sure is cute.”

The whole Iron Man 2 cast attended the film’s world premiere yesterday in LA. Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Sam Rockwell and director Jon Favreau were among all the stars walking down the red carpet.
Scarlett opted for a stunning sculpted asymmetrical dress and glittery heels by Armani Privé, and her co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, 37, went for a more androgynous look in a pair of Giorgio Armani degrade shorts and matching blazer. You can see lots of HQ pics in our gallery!

Scarlett Johansson
loves her curvy body. She said she finds that skinny celebs are not attractive. She never wants to super slim. She said that she doesn’t have to be skinny to sexy.“You’re never going to see me losing a whole bunch of weight. I’m not anxious to starve myself. For me, it’s not all sexy to be ultra-thin” the actress told monstersandcritics.com.
In order to fit into the cat suit for the movie Iron man, she did weight training, mixed martial arts and hand to hand combat. She says she ate healthier like omelets, turkey and things of that nature. One of her motivators was fitting into the cat suit, she said.
“I was like if I gotta get into that thing, I better start now.”
She wishes she could’ve kept up the training, but once filming was over she lost all motivation saying to the cat suit, “Ta-ta for now. I love you! Hopefully I’ll see you in the future!”

Earlier today I got to attend the Los Angeles press junket for director Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2. While some press junkets feature roundtable interviews with the cast, for today’s junket, Paramount gave the domestic press a 35 minute press conference with Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke, director Jon Favreau, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, screenwriter Justin Thoreaux and the head of Marvel, Kevin Feige.
As you might imagine when you get all these actors together, there was a lot of joking around and laughter. Since that doesn’t exactly translate well to the written page, after the jump you can either read the transcript or listen to the audio.
As we always do, if you’d like to listen to the audio from today’s press conference, click here. Iron Man 2 opens May 7.

Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson enjoyed wearing her skin-tight superhero suit so much in Iron Man 2 that she wanted to keep it home.
The actress who plays undercover spy Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, in the comic book sequel, had to work out hard to fit into the costume but got so much pleasure from wearing it she didn’t ever want to take it off, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“One of the biggest motivators was when I first saw the Lycra catsuit. I was like, ‘If I gotta get into that thing, I better start now.’ The challenge was to get in the suit and believe it,” she said.
“I wish I could have kept it afterwards but unfortunately it’s the property of Marvel so, after I took it off for the final time, I said, ‘Ta-ta for now. I love you! Hopefully I’ll see you in the future!’,” she added.
The 25-year-old beauty took on a complex exercise regime and diet plan in order to squeeze into the skin-tight outfit but admitted it had been an “empowering experience”.
“I did a lot of weight training, mixed martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. When you’re working out that much you also have to feed your new body, so you eat in a different way, very clean, lots of omelette, turkey, stuff like that,” she said.
“It’s been an empowering experience which made me feel much stronger than I’ve ever felt before just because I built up so much strength,” she added.

Today Scarlett and all the cast of Iron Man 2 attended a photocall and press junket for the movie! As you may know there was going to be a premiere in London on April 26th but it’s been cancelled due to the ash cloud that’s been affecting the air traffic in Europe.
But well, at least we’ve got the whole cast all together doing promo, and hopefully we can see them together during this days before the US release of the movie. For now I’ve added lots of HQs in the gallery, enjoy!

“I didn’t have any nicknames growing up, though I’ve heard that I’m called ScarJo, which I loathe. It sounds like a bad hip-hop name!.”
“You’re not going to find me at 4 a.m. hitting up the club, bottle full of bub…Maybe on a rare occasion. But I’ve just never been much of a clubby, nightlife kind of person…I’m not a social butterfly. I’ve never been part of a scandal that was really juicy.”
“I like cooking alone – I find it very therapeutic. I put on some music, maybe have a glass of wine, and make something like a turkey Bolognese or a nice frittata.”
Our girl graces this month’s InStyle Magazine cover to promote Iron Man 2! She looks super sweet, though some of us are not really feeling her curly hairdo, but she’s gorgeous anyway, and so fresh! Here you’ve got a sneak of the cover, if anyone can provide HQ scans please leave a comment and I will be contacting you!

This is just a rumor, but it could possibly be a reality. I certainly hope so, I’d love to see her in this
Stanley Kubrick may be gone, but he’s not done making movies just yet. According to Production Weekly, two big stars — Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johansson, who will share the screen this summer in Iron Man 2 — are attached to a long-dusty Kubrick script that has been resurrected from his estate by his son-in-law, Philip Hobbs.
Hobbs found the single copy of the 80-page script treatment for Lunatic at Large — which was written for Kubrick in the late 1950’s by pulp author Jim Thompson — in 1999, and has been shopping it around ever since. The story is described as a dark mystery about an escaped axe-murderer. “When Stanley died, he left behind lots of paperwork,” Hobbs told the New York Times in 2006. “We ended up going through trunks of it, and one day we came across ‘Lunatic at Large.’ I knew what it was right away, because I remember Stanley talking about ‘Lunatic.’ He was always saying he wished he knew where it was, because it was such a great idea.”
The project has been in traction since 2006, when producer Edward R. Pressman became involved in the development of the project. This Production Weekly report marks the first time in two years that any movement has been seen. And while we don’t know many of the key details yet — there is no director attached — the news of Rockwell and Johansson being involved makes a bit of sense. This is about the time — in the lead up to Iron Man 2 — that they would be announcing new projects. And if they are to play Johnnie Sheppard and his attractive companion Joyce (respectively), as described below, we would likely be seeing such news in the near future. It’s an interesting project, but would surely hinge on a director — a dark period piece is one thing, and a Jim Thompson-penned work is something else entirely. Rockwell and Johansson are two very capable actors, but a director with a strong sense of visual style and a handle on narrative fluidity will be the key to the success of such a project. Until that happens, we remain interested but skeptical.
