Scarlett Johansson says she’s considering cutting back on acting jobs after becoming a mother for the first time last year
Scarlett Johansson was busy proving that her figure hadn’t changed since motherhood, on Sunday.
But things in the acting world might be about to alter, after the 30-year-old Avengers Assemble star said she’s considering cutting back her workload now that she’s a mother.
Scarlett had her first child, Rose, with husband Romain Dauriac seven months ago and has admitted that her priorities have changed.
Scarlett appeared to have snapped back into pre-baby shape when she was seen at the MTV Movie Awards 2015 in Los Angeles on Sunday night, a rare night off from mummy duties.
Speaking to the Australian Daily Telegraph on Monday, the beauty said her schedule has definitely been affected since the birth in October 2014.
She said: ‘I have a greater responsibility now so that will definitely affect my schedule. Before (Rose), I just made the choices that were affecting me but now I’m responsible for somebody else. Eventually I will have to work less and it might even make me more discerning.’
‘We’ll see,’ she continued. ‘But I think having any kind of huge life-changing event happen to you, such as having children, and it’s such a different life now in the best possible way, is very, very inspiring.
‘I think it will hopefully enrich my work as well as my understanding of myself. That’s the hope anyway, you never know.’
The blonde bombshell said she was reluctant to make a ‘grandiose’ statement about motherhood, adding that it’s a personal experience – something she’s still a ‘newbie’ at.
The actress currently has two movies in pre-production for 2016 (Ghost in the Shell and Captain America: Civil War) and she is also filming The Jungle Book at the moment.
Scarlett released four films in 2014 and three the year before, and 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is due on May 1.
The first clip for the second in the franchise, in which Scarlett plays Natasha Romanoff, was shown at Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards.
In the clip, it appears that Iron Man and the Hulk – usually on the same side – will fight against each other even thought its Ultron that the Avengers should be trying to foil.
