Thank you, GQ, thank you! The handsome actor Ryan Reynolds is the October cover star and he’s sharing some insights into his very private marriage to Scarlett Johansson.
Ryan’s career is in full swing with big films coming up like Green Lantern and Buried. The 33-year-old actor had to spend two weeks in a coffin to film Buried!
“I’ll never, ever in my life complain on a set again after being on that set,” Ryan tells GQ. “Sixteen, seventeen days of doing that… It was such a state of emotional distress.”
One thing that looks like it would be distressing in Ryan’s life is keeping his marriage to Scarlett as private as possible, but it sounds like he’s got a pretty good handle on it and his life hasn’t changed too much because of it.
“Things change when you get married in general. But in terms of being a couple that’s in a public situation and speculated about and all that nonsense, it’s changed a little bit,” he explains. “I’m a little more guarded, I think. I’m a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera. I’ve just unilaterally not addressed it. That’s kind of been the fail-safe for me.”
But Ryan would argue that they’re not as private about their relationship as you think.
“I think it’s embellished upon. It hasn’t been some covert operation,” the star explains of staying out of the spotlight with Scarlett. “I mean, certainly the wedding was, but I believe anyone should have the right to have a private wedding ceremony. I think if anything’s sacred it should be that. But for the most part — I can only speak for me, as one-half of that relationship — I choose to remain as private as possible without being secretive.”
And to those who think Scarlett’s reference to Ryan as “my Canadian” during her acceptance speech for her Tony Award in June was due to her fear of using the word “husband” in public, well, that’s simply not true.
“No, I think that’s just a cute moment between a husband and wife,” Ryan says. “People can turn it into whatever will sell the story, the magazine. They can say whatever they want to say. That’s fine.”

I just posted a report on the ‘Tribute to Heritage’ Moët & Chandon event that Scarlett attended yesterday in France. I’ve added to the gallery some HQs of the dinner and party that took place in the brand’s cellars. Scarl wore a beautiful Louis Vuitton (of course!) dress and pumps.
And in the morning, Scarlett picked up some grapes at the Moët vineyards. She looked really happy and super beautiful with her new short curly hair. Enjoy all the photos!
In what was the Champagne region’s most anticipated event this Harvest season, last night Moët & Chandon, the world’s most loved champagne, hosted a “Tribute to Heritage” gala at its estate in Epernay. The glamorous event paid tribute to the Maison’s heritage of celebration, inviting international VIPs to partake in the magical Moët Harvest experience.
The event was attended by Moët ambassador Scarlett Johansson and a glamorous array of international stars including Bollywood star Arjun Rampal, English actress Ruth Wilson, French film director Olivier Dahan, French actor Benoît Magimel, French actress Elodie Bouchez, German actor Clemens Schick, and Dutch actress Thekla Reuten.
In homage to its nearly three hundred year-old history of sharing the magic of champagne with the world, Moët hosted guests to an intimate and unforgettable experience, showcasing the timeless traditions and methods that distinguish the Moët & Chandon champagne Harvest. Guests were invited to hand-pick grapes from Moët’s premier-cru vineyards, followed by a private tour of the cellars, the heart and soul of Moët’s estate, located 25 meters below the original Moët family home on the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay.
That evening, Moët & Chandon President and CEO Daniel Lalonde welcomed VIPs on the red carpet for a magnificent dinner in the cellars, followed by a fabulous celebration in true Moët style.
“Moët has established a heritage of celebration since the House was founded in 1743, and we are delighted to pay tribute to our values of elegance and glamour with our ambassador, Scarlett Johansson, and our guests this evening,” said Daniel Lalonde. “Tonight we share the magic of our savoir-faire and spontaneous sense of occasion with the world for centuries to come,” he continued.
Scarlett Johansson stars in Moët’s international advertising campaign, which was shot by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The campaign includes print, outdoor and online advertising, featuring Moët and Scarlett as icons of celebration.

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal will share the stage with Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson at the Moët and Chandon champagne harvest and red carpet celebration in Epernay, France.
While Arjun will be the first Indian actor to attend the event, the glamorous Scarlett Johansson will be present as the Moët and Chandon’s celebrity ambassador. The event is scheduled Monday.
“Moët & Chandon is a celebration of the savoir-faire and heritage of pleasure, elegance and glamour since 1743. Arjun Rampal, with his commendable body of work and a cult among the new generation, truly embodies the essence of the brand. We are delighted to share the magic of champagne with him,” Gaurav Bhatia, marketing director, Moët Hennessy India, said in a press release.
“The ethos of this legendary celebration in Champagne represents the ultimate moment for Moët to unite icons of cinema — Scarlett Johansson and Arjun Rampal. This event will provide an unparalleled occasion to express the refined excellence of the world’s most-loved champagne with the magic of cinema,” Bhatia added.
Arjun, a model-ned-actor, who has carved a niche for himself in the Indian film industry with films like Rock On! and Om Shanti Om, has been invited to take a journey through the heritage of the champagne followed by a red-carpet after-party in the cellars.

We have been posting news and rumors about Scarlett’s possible attachment to some projects. Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, Diablo Cody’s Breathers: A Zombie Lament, Stanley Kubrick’s lost script turned into Lunatic at Large and the indie movie Old St. Louis.
Well, I just got a mail from Scarlett’s publicist turning down all this rumors, Scarlett won’t be part of any of those movies. It’s a shame, but well, I hope our girl finds something exciting to do soon because you shall agree with me, we all would love to see her working on another movie. For now… it’s time to wait!
Greetings Scarlett fans! I stumbled upon an interesting article today. Looks like Scarlett might be competing with Blake Lively for a new role. Of course, we hope Scarlett wins Check it out:
Call it the battle of the blondes: Sources confirm a report in The Hollywood Reporter today that Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively are the frontrunners to star in Alfonso Cuaron’s next project Gravity opposite Robert Downey Jr. Both women have tested for the role of an astronaut lost in space, fighting her way back to Earth. Neither Johansson nor Lively have yet to receive an offer, however.
Sources say that Lively auditioned for the role over a month ago along with 11 other women. Johansson only read for the part last week.
While Johannson is a bigger star internationally, Warner Bros. has long been a fan of cultivating young talent that it had a hand in discovering, which definitely describes Lively. She co-stars in the studio’s upcoming flick The Town as well as Green Lantern, in which she plays Ryan Reynolds’ love interest. Warner Bros. TV is also responsible for Gossip Girl, which co-stars Lively, on the CW.
It’s not lost on anyone that Reynolds is Johansson’s husband. Depending on the outcome of the Cuaron project, the Green Lantern premiere could be one awkward affair. Warner Bros. declined to comment.
It’s all about behind the scenes! I’ve added some gorgeous images on the set of the shooting of Dolce & Gabanna’s ‘The One’ perfumes campaign, and also the shooting of Mango’s Fall 2010 campaign. Enjoy!

Some may be drawn to Scarlett Johansson’s sexy curves in Dolce & Gabbana The Makeup’s Fall 2010 advertising campaign, but us, we can’t get past her lips.
Roguishly dark and exquisitely glossed, they act as a raven anchor to her smoldering nude eye, and punctuate the fact that the statement lip is sticking.
A mainstay on the Fall 2010 runways, deep purple lips stood out on the Dolce & Gabbana, Peter Som, Proenza Schouler (who’s also featuring dark lips in their Fall ad campaign) and Doo.ri fashion shows. It’s a racy, heart-pumping and fiercely feminine trend that stands in welcome rebellion to the neutral, sculpted face we saw at many other top shows.
“We went all out with contrast, the kind of contrast that makes a real statement,” says Dolce & Gabbana collaborator Pat McGrath, “It’s really all about the lips-very shiny and dark, super sexy. I downplayed the eyes, which are still gorgeous, but it’s a subtle kind of power, very implicit. I was going for a look that is very much about ‘now’ but is also ultra Dolce & Gabbana, capturing their ultimate signature look for beauty. Very suggestive, mysterious- yet still very bold. To me, that’s what the fall is all about.”
