Scarlett Johansson is apparently well-equipped to play Dolly Parton in a movie.
Since the country music singer is a legend in the industry, it’s was really only a matter of time before someone decided to tell her life story on the big screen. In addition to a feature film, Parton is also reportedly working on a musical. However, it’s unclear who will end up playing Dolly when the cameras finally start to roll.

Baby wants ice cream! While enjoying downtime at the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, France on Sunday, May 4, pregnant Scarlett Johansson was spotted noshing on an ice cream cone with fiancé Romain Dauriac.

The Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier star, 29, went casual in black leggings and tennis shoes with a tie-dyed top and army-green jacket. The New York native recently ended a press tour for the well-received Marvel sequel, and began filming The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which hits theaters May 1, 2015.

Johansson’s journalist fiancé is French, which she recently joked to Vanity Fair was why he is “overly into his emotions.” Together the couple are preparing for the arrival of their first child, which came as a “welcome surprise,” a source told Us in March.

“There must exist a world in which I can balance those things, be able to raise a family and still make a film a year, or work on my own, develop things, do theater,” Johansson told WSJ magazine in April. “I want to be able to have it all. Selfishly.”

Scarlett Johansson might be expecting her first child, but Black Widow won’t be showing any signs of pregnancy.

The gorgeous star is said due to give birth to her and Roman Dauriac’s baby in August, which threw up a few issues for the filming of Avengers: Winter Soldier.

However, The Sun reports that Scarlett will be able to perform as she is, with her growing baby bump being edited out in post-production.

According to the newspaper, the actress will be wearing a high-tech suit with a green band around her waist which will allow the special effects team to remove any signs of her pregnancy.

Meanwhile, it is said that director Joss Whedon has no intention of letting her off easily, still expecting her to be part of the movie’s fight scenes.

Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige seemingly confirmed Scarlett’s maternity in an interview about the film last month and suggesting everything will still go to plan.

Speaking about the mum-to-be last month, he said: “Well my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her.

“My second reaction was we’ve got to move some pieces on the chess board around schedule-wise. But we didn’t change the script at all, which is sort of the most important things for us in terms of the storyline.”

Taking a spin on the beloved animated film, Disney is working on an adaptation of “The Jungle Book” directed by Jon Favreau. And it appears the studio is eyeing some heavy hitters, as The Hollywood Reporter stated Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o are in the middle of negotiations to join confirmed cast member Idris Elba.

According to reports, the live-action/GC hybrid film will stars Nyong’o as Rakcha, a mother wolf who adopts Mowgli, with Johansson portraying the voice of Kaa, the python who hypnotizes animals and eats them.

Idris is slated to portray Shere Khan, the villainous tiger.

“The Jungle Book” has a release date set for October 9, 2015. Stay linked to GossipCenter for more details on the film.

Continuing to enjoy the success of her action-packed film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Scarlett Johansson fronts the May 2014 issue of Glamour magazine.

While rocking a few poses for the Tom Munro-shot spread, the 29-year-old actress dished about everything from constantly being in the spotlight to her “tacky” nickname.

“Actresses get stupid questions asked of them all the time,” Miss Johansson explained. “Like, ‘How do you stay sexy?’ or ‘What’s your sexiest quality?’ All these ridiculous things you would never ask a man.”

Also discussing her acting talents, Scarlett stated, “When I made ‘Lost in Translation,’ I was 17. Now I’m 29… That’s a normal side effect of being a young actor. You’re captured in a certain time of you life, and it’s hard for people to move past that.”

In regards to her nickname “ScarJo,” the “Avengers” babe said, “I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant… There’s something insulting about it.”
