This is a totally shameless plug and off-topic to Scarlett but I wanted post a link to my newest site and this site’s top affiliate site, Amy Adams Fan, dedicated to the amazing Academy Award nominated actress best known for Enchanted and Junebug. Please come and visit!
Another little Mary related tidbit from Variety:
Capitol hopes that Mary Queen of Scots, starring Scarlett Johansson, finally will go into production this summer after a number of delays, but helmer Phillip Noyce has withdrawn from the project.
I have updated the gallery with scans from the latest issues of i-D and TBA magazines, both of which feature new album promo photoshoot pics. Huge thanks to Gary and Veronika for the scans!
I would also like to take a moment to send condolences on behalf of all the members to a very special member of our community, who recently lost a loved one. Much love to you!
By the way, the film will premiere at Cannes this coming Saturday, May 17. According to early reports, Scarlett, alongside her co-stars, will be in attendance.

From Variety (click to read full article):
Rumors have emerged that Capitol’s financial uncertainty may also delay or derail a pair of projects in pre-production: Mary, Queen of Scots, starring Scarlett Johansson, and Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, starring Jennifer Lopez, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lisa Kudrow.
Here’s to hoping the film will go into production soon and without any hassle.
I have been adding numerous new photos of Scarlett at the Costume Institute Gala. There’s a total of 154 shots in the gallery at the moment. I also uploaded two new album promo photoshoot pics. This shoot is definitely one of my favorites out of all. Maybe there will even be a layout from these one day… We’ll see.
Scarlett Johansson describes the recording of her Tom Waits covers album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” as an “intimate experience — almost private, in a way.”
Of course, when you’re a Hollywood actress, Louis Vuitton model and occasional tabloid fixture, pretty much nothing is private.
That’s the challenge facing Atco/Rhino Records as it promotes the album, due May 20. Johansson is a familiar face — and name recognition is a definite marketing bonus — but the phrase “actress-turned-singer” is bound to set off warning bells.
“I don’t think being a celebrity is a hindrance — I think it will get people curious,” project manager Liuba Shapiro said. “It’s not like a Paris (Hilton) brand. Scarlett has credible performances (as an actress).”
The Academy of Cinema and Television announced the collaboration with Actress Scarlett Johansson, the sixth such collaboration in a series to offer “always-available” personal insights to the path a rising star often takes as they struggle to reach the top of their field — be it acting, modeling, singing or dancing. The series, in a Q & A format, enables performing arts students and their parents to instantly gain personal insight online about the celebrities featured in the series. Together with the aid of the Internet, the series will give parents, students, and the Internet community insight into the industry from an actress who began her career as an eight year old and is now world renowned icon.
Jack White, Director of the Academy of Cinema and Television, is thrilled that a brilliant, but often controversial, former child actor like Johansson will be sharing her childhood experiences as well as offer some industry insider tips.
Scarlett has donated a “Doodle” that is being auctioned on eBay to benefit NF, Inc., a national non-profit organization that supports families affected by Neurofibromatosis. The auction began yesterday at 6PM (ET) and continues through May 18. Don’t miss your chance to win a piece of art drawn by Ms. Johansson herself!
