Luise sent in scans of the new issue of German Vanity Fair with Scarlett on the cover. While the cover shot is old, the pictures inside are new, taken at the Berlin Film Festival. Scarlett looks amazing! If anyone if able to translate the interview, please do get in touch. I’ve also added a couple of new stills from Boleyn Girl. Thanks to Sandra for some of them!
Last but not least, I’d like to give a plugging to some of my friends’ new sites dedicated to Scarlett’s co-stars: Andy’s Javier Bardem fansite, Javier Bardem Online, on the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star and fresh Oscar winner (congrats to Javier!) and Filip’s Eric Bana fansite, Eric Bana Fan, dedicated to the king of Boleyn Girl.
Check out this great new interview with Natalie Portman over at Times Online. She mentions Scarlett quite a bit:
Back when Portman was 14, she was the face of Isaac Mizrahi, who would go on to cause a minor scandal at the Golden Globes two years ago, when he grabbed Johansson’s breasts. “Seriously, I would want to grab them. She’s got beautiful ones, but, Isaac, that was not so appropriate.”
And, of course, while Portman is famously Jewish, Johansson is a lesser-known Jew (because of her Scandinavian father, she’s called “the kosher Danish”). When Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek made a movie together, all the headlines blared “the Hot Tamales”. What should the media label a film starring two Jewish girls? Portman doesn’t miss a beat.
“The Hot Knishes,” she says, referring to the Jewish delicacy. She says how good Johansson is, adding that in her own forthcoming film, My Blueberry Nights, Rachel Weisz “will knock your socks off”. But her favourite co-star of all time?
“Stephen Fry, when we made V for Vendetta. I wanted to spend all my time with him. He is awesome.”
I have added the video and 340 screencaptures of Scarlett’s Regis & Kelly appearance, which aired earlier today. She chats about the Kuwait tour, which she describes as a life-changing experience, Woody Allen and, of course, The Other Boleyn Girl. I personally absolutely love Scarlett’s look and, as usual, she’s very well spoken and totally adorable here.

A quick update for today. The Telegraph published a great new interview with Scarlett regarding her album. You can read it here. Check out this funny quote:
“I first realised I was a sexual being listening to David Bowie, like, oh my God, what are these tingling feelings?”, she giggles self-consciously, then adds, “I mean, when I was young” to quell speculation about late-night studio sessions.
I’ve added many new shots to the The Other Boleyn Girl press conference album. Big thanks to nolarice for some of these!

Scarlett did not attend the Brit Awards tonight. So the previous reports of her performing and presenting must have simply been gossip.
The Other Boleyn Girl Royal London Premiere album has been updated with 100+ high quality snaps of Miss Scarlett. She’s pictured meeting the British Royalty and posing for photos with co-stars Natalie and Eric and director Justin Chadwick. It looks like Scarlett had a wonderful evening yesterday! Click here for all the new uploads.
By the way, the Brit Awards are tonight. There has been no official confirmation whether or not Scarlett will attend but as you may remember, there’s been some reports that she will present an award AND perform. We’ll see! If she’ll be on, we will have a video and pics for your viewing pleasure later on tonight. I will let you know in any case.

Check out this wonderful new production still from Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. It features Scarlett character Cristina assumably sightseeing with characters played by Rebecca Hall and Patricia Clarkson. The film does not have an official US release date at the moment but will likely premiere at the Venice Film Festival and open in Spain on September 19, 2008. I will keep you updated with any news regarding Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Here’s another Boleyn Girl review, courtesy of Hollywood Reporter. It is less complimentary than the Variety one but it still praises Scarlett’s versatility and her character’s growth in the movie.
Anne Boleyn was the one who managed to stay alive while married to England’s King Henry VIII for 1,000 days, but her sister Mary in “The Other Boleyn Girl” would have been his queen if only she had been better at making babies.
That, of course, was always the problem. The Tudor line’s grip on the throne was invariably threatened by the lack of a son, even though it would be daughter Elizabeth who reigned in the nation’s golden age.
In Justin Chadwick’s handsome but glum film, based on the novel by Philippa Gregory, the focus is on Anne (Natalie Portman) and Mary (Scarlett Johansson) as their father, Thomas Boleyn (Mark Rylance), and uncle, the Duke of Norfolk (David Morrissey), conspire for one of them to win the king’s fancy while their mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) looks on in disgust.
