A promotional photoshoot has been released for Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head”, due out in May. I think the shoot is absolutely fantastic and Scarlett looks very natural, yet simply radiant. Be sure to check out the stunning pics!

In what could be a case of art imitating life, finding the right man for Mary Queen of Scots is proving more difficult than expected. A movie about Mary’s life, starring Scarlett Johansson, has been delayed because producers can’t find a suitable actor to play her third husband, the Earl of Bothwell.
In real life, Mary had problems with men, one in particular, her second husband, Lord Darnely, who burst into her room in the Palace of Holyrood House, threatened her and murdered her secretary, David Riccio.
Among those said to be in the running for the Bothwell role, are Clive Owen, Robert Carlyle and James McAvoy.
Former Rome star Kevin McKidd played a convincing Bothwell in a recent television version of the monarch’s life, but he is unlikely to get the film role.
The delay is now raising doubts that the film will make it into production in time to avoid a strike by members of the Screen Actors Guild at the end of June: “Scarlett is having trouble with who her profile leading man should be,” said a source: “The actors’ strike is also going to be significant. It could be after the summer before anything happens.
Scarlett Johansson is to go on a date with a fan who paid $40,100 to meet the screen beauty.
The lucky UK bidder, known only as ‘bossnour’, beat 170 others to buy two tickets to the premiere of Scarlett’s new film He’s Just Not That Into You in July in either Los Angeles or New York where they will meet the actress.
All proceeds raised from the eBay auction will go to charity Oxfam America.
In a video posted on the website, Scarlett said: “Hi, I’m Scarlett Johansson and I am auctioning off two tickets to the world premiere of my new film, He’s Just Not That Into You. This auction benefits Oxfam which in an international relief agency that fights poverty around the world.
“The winner of the charity auction will not only get to attend the premiere, but 100 per cent of the proceeds go directly to supporting Oxfam’s work. So, please bid high! Thank you for your support, and happy bidding!”
Scarlett Johansson, all bundled up, was pictured giving directions to her short film’s star, Kevin Bacon, earlier today on the set of New York, I Love You. I’ve added 17 pictures in the gallery.
If anyone would like to see more shots of Kevin Bacon alone, just let me know and I’d be happy to add them!

Back in January it was rumored that Scarlett Johansson would be part of New York, I Love You, a project that taps 12 directors to create five-minute films, all love stories set in New York City. Woody Allen later stated this to be untrue. Now, however, we know for sure that Scarlett is indeed on board to make her directorial debut with a short film contribution to New York, I Love You!
Offering direction to actor Kevin Bacon and checking out the result on monitors, the actress handled herself with a poise as she got to work on the Big Apple set of her contribution to New York, I Love You, yesterday.
I’ve added nine photos of Scarlett on the set of the film. Behind the cut you can find an article from The Hollywood Reporter (dating back to May 20, 2007) which talks about the project. Please notice that a lot of this info is likely outdated. For example, it states that New York, I Love You would premiere at Cannes Film Festival this year but it is highly unlikely that they would get it finished by May.

I got to see The Other Boleyn Girl yesterday so I updated the film page with additional details and some of my thoughts regarding Scarlett Johansson’s performance, which I greatly enjoyed. I updated all of the recent filmography with new and up-to-date info. The press section has also been updated with a couple of new items, most notable being The Sydney Morning Herald article.
“It’s exciting as an artist and as a creative person to have many outlets and avenues to express yourself,” she says. “I’ve always loved to sing and I try not to pigeonhole myself as actor extraordinaire – it’s nice to be able to work with some other incredibly talented people and compile a project that’s greater then everyone involved. It’s fun. There are so many aspects of film, music and art that make that possible.”
I would also like to thank Bernard and Jeraire for their generous donations. We’re getting close to obtaining something very special for the site, which I am excited about! I will keep you all posted on how it goes. Meanwhile, if you can spare anything, please consider making a contribution.
Scarlett and Natalie Portman continue to promote The Other Boleyn Girl for its UK release this Friday. The two ladies are quite literally everywhere at the moment – you can find numerous online interviews as well as ones on British television. I was able to catch The Fix (both last and this week’s episodes, Film 2008 (aired on Monday) and 4 Music (Scarlett and Natalie special, aired this morning) on the telly and I’ve made caps of them for your viewing pleasure. View all new additions here. I will be adding all of the videos on the site soon. However, I am very busy and unable to convert videos at the moment so please do remain patient. I promise, all caps and videos will be added as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, check out the caps and following links for videos. Thanks to Sandra of Portman Source for this extensive link list!
